Guide to Barebones Computer Systems
The simplest way to build your own computer is to start with a barebones computer system. These computers already have many of the main components installed. You can then add the memory, cpu, or drives that are needed and you have your computer.
There are many different configurations available. I will outline a couple below, but if you would prefer to browse yourself, you can find some great deals on www.tigerdirect.com
The first system I will look at is the
Soyo P4VGA Socket 478 Barebones Computer w/ 350W PS
This system comes with a case, power supply, and motherboard. this configuration is very flexible as it supports both the Intel Celeron and Pentium 4 processors, contains an AGP video slot, and can support up to 2GB of memory. You could build this system to minimum specs and then expand and upgrade as needed.
The second system is more complete out of the box
Ultra Dragon P4I845PE v1.0 Socket 478 Barbones Computer
This system has everything that you need to get a system up and running, is fully upgradeable, and costs less than $600 dollars.
These computer systems provide you with a great starting point to learn how to build your own computer systems. The key feature of both of these systems is that they are upgradeable and can be expanded to meet both your needs and your budget.
